Central Library and Aula Magna

The Central Library of the Law School of the Universidad de Chile was founded in 1938, with the transfer of volumes from the Central House of the institution. Since 1995, it has been reorganized and remodeled, housing one of the most important legal and humanities collections in the country, together with the Library of the National Congress.

The Library offers various online consultation services, databases and in-room consultation of current and historical works of recognized patrimonial value. It has a total seating capacity of 310 students, with spaces for group and personal studies. It also has computers for visually impaired students.

In relation to bibliographic resources, the Faculty offers a General Collection; Reserve; Reference; Undergraduate Thesis; Journals; Departmental Collections; Historical Collection and eBook Collection, which together total more than one hundred thousand volumes in various formats. In addition, there is access to free and paid databases of articles and academic works, as well as national and international jurisprudence.
